Tom Hahl, a Colorado native, worked wood in the city for many years, but has found the high desert air full of creative breath, and not without inspirations of it’s own. Now the master carpenter at the Historic Strater Hotel, he makes a labor of love out of maintaining and restoring the precious antiques housed there. From the scraps of that labor he crafts smaller works inspired by masters older still.
