Tim Hunter - Builder by trade, Scientist by education, Artist by avocation. When he's not out skiing or river running or climbing or...., Tim lives and works in the beautiful Mancos Valley.  He is the owner of Environmental Designs, a small construction/consulting firm performing custom residential and commercial building and environmental consulting.

Art and music are important parts of Tim's life and lifestyle. He works a lot with wood whether it's building a house, sculpting his giant bonsai garden or crafting furniture; he also works with some steel, stone and found objects to create sculptures that are scattered around the ranch. "work to play, play to live."

Tim has been involved in Furniture as Art from it's beginning. The last several pieces have had a religious overtone - a Monk's meditation chair, a Deacon's bench, and last year a high backed Mexican influenced chair with subtle protestant icons and a seat upholstered with a hundred year old Persian prayer rug.
