Barfoot
Rebecca Barfoot is a studio artist from Durango, whose work combines ceramics, print-making, and painting in a contemporary fusion of modern and vintage. She has received awards for her innovative works in multiple media, and is a recent fellow of Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark. Rebecca has also been a ceramics resident at Women's Studio Workshop in New York, and received two ting fellowships at Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snowmass, CO. Her work has been featured at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, and BoxHeart Gallery in Pittsburgh, as well as a sold-out show of cyanotype prints in Todalen, Norway. She was recently an artist-in-residence at the Tin Shop in Breckenridge, CO, where she was teaching and developing techniques with alternative photographic processes and ceramics, and is a guest instructor at Truro Center for the Arts at Castlehill in Provincetown, MA. Her next art adventure is teaching ceramics at sea for Princess Cruises in the Caribbean.
Rebecca is also teaching a series of cyanotype printing classes here in Durango at Art-iculation, 1051 E. 2nd Ave.
